Charlotte CornetAfter the launch of the photo section, Cafébabel broadens the range of its artistic contributions: welcome to the ninth art!
In order to make information always more alive and to broaden the range of the magazine’s contributions, Cafébabel Brussels opens the space of its photo section to comic strips, press cartoons and caricatures.
Built on the principle of participatory journalism, Cafébabel seeks to offer to as many people as possible the means to express themselves on their pages and to take part collectively in the construction of a critical opinion close to the citizens. You have some difficulties with Shakespeare’s language? Fair enough, choose your weapon and join us! Pen, paintbrush, pencil or graver, all cartoonists, graffiti artists and other scribblers are welcome in our rows!
We are offering different ways of participating: you can illustrate our articles by working in pair with the journalists, you can propose a gallery around a theme that you’ve chosen or you can present yourself to the babelian community by explaining your experience and by showing us your work.
So, take the opportunity to see your work published and embark on the adventure by sending us an email at [email protected]. A meeting gathering the team and the interested people will be held on the 4th of February at 6.30 pm, in order to provide further details about the project.
A successful sketch makes you laugh. When it is really successful, it makes you think. If it makes you laugh and think, then it’s a marvellous sketch. Tignous.
So, get out your pencil!
