Small weekly guide to the Parisian life Conference : L’Europe sociale existe-t-elle ?(Is there a Social Europe?) Monday, February 4, starting at 8 :15 am ICOSI (Institute of International Social Cooperation) is organising a breakfast debate around the theme of social Europe. It will be conducted by Denis Stokkink (President of the European Think Tank Pour la Solidarité).

Spritual Unity / Le Jazz mystique, Cité de la Musique, from February 8-13
For the beginning of the year, the Cité de la Musique proposes a series of jazz concerts to illustrate the mystical tendencies of this form of music.
- His Eminence Archbishop Franzo W. King interpreting John Coltrane (Friday, the 8th at 8pm),
- A forum, conference – round-table on mystical jazz (Saturday, the 9th at 3pm),
- Laurent Bardainne Marc Ribot in a tribute to Albert Ayler (Saturday, the 9th at 8pm),
- Magma, a group that doesn’t need any introduction (Monday, the 11th at 8pm) and
- Raphaël Imbert / Sun Râ Arkestra (Wednesday, the 13th at 8pm).

Lili Cros at l’Espace Jemmapes on February 7, 8 and 9
Here is an interesting French singer ! This slip of a woman will sweep you away with her colourful pop, sweetly but with a punchy attitude at the same time. She will be in concert at l’Espace Jammapes with Thierry Chazelle. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Presentation of a new copy
This film, based in Helsinki during the last summer of peace before the Second World War, tells the story of the unexpected musical success of a taxi driver and a tourist guide.
Unfortunately, misunderstandings will threaten their career and their budding love story.
It is worth noting that two of Finland’s favourite actors are in this film: Ansa Ikonen et Tauno Palo.
