VINYL 2010 launches 2008 essay competition on food and energy crisis

Vinyl 2010, in partnership with cafebabel.com, is proud to announce the launch of an Essay Competition aimed at young people aged 18 to 30 years throughout Europe and beyond. Participants could win up to €5,000* in this year’s competition, have their essay published and get the chance to speak at an international high-level event on sustainable development.

The title of this year’s competition is:

“Faced with a food and energy crisis, how can society improve its well-being?”

Vinyl 2010 is a Brussels based non-profit organisation set up to provide the organisational and financial infrastructure to manage and monitor the actions undertaken as part of the Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry chain. Vinyl 2010 is a partnership registered with the Secretariat of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development.
