Stereotypes of Brussels

Today I was tempted to read one writer's impressions about Brussels, since the lead promised an interesting opinion. I wanted to read it especially because I had an interesting discussion about Brussels with my two friends.
I know many people who hate Brussels, many who find it boring, and some, like me, who are absolutely in love with it, and this love heats up each time when visiting it and even when facing the boring part of the city. Brussels just feels very "tailor-made" (a very EU-style word) for me :)
The article was very, very, very disappointing. Or the lead was misleading. The only things this person was able to remember about Brussels are hotel, EU and high-class food. I think that people who have seen only that much should be forbidden to claim they know anything about Brussels :)
