As summer comes to an end, it’s time for new projects. If you’re keen on taking on new non-profit challenges, join the upcoming seminar “Moving ideas forward: Guidance to successful youth organisations” organised by European Dialogue in Montenegro from the 14th to the 21st of October 2018.

Being part of a non-profit project requires commitment. It begins with a vision and a handful of ambitious ideas. Then comes the implementation stage and, before you know it, the situation is spiralling out of control. Somewhere between looking for volunteers, paperwork and deadline, you give up.

And, of course, there’s the endless search for funding: a long and arduous quest similar to Harry Potter’s hunt for Horcruxes. But instead of Horcruxes, you seek out all kinds of grants and subsidies. Weeks later, with about a million tabs open in your Internet browser, you get a headache that feels like the worst hangover. Ever.

So when an opportunity like the “Moving ideas forward: Guidance to successful youth organisations” training course in Podgorica, Montenegro, presents itself, you jump the way you did when France won the World Cup final. Or at least the way Macron did. The seminar, organised by European Dialogue and Mladiinfo, addresses a number of common challenges that youth organisations are facing. You can participate in groups of five members (18-30 years old), in which one participant can be older than 30. This seminar will help you to build a sustainable non-profit organisation by teaching you about organisational democracy, leadership, motivating volunteers, finding grants, project management and how to develop international networks.

Pretty cool, right? And the cherry on top of the cake: all accommodation, food and materials to be used are fully covered by the Erasmus+ Programme and organised by European Dialogue and Mladiinfo Montenegro. Participants will receive reimbursement for their travel costs (flight, train or bus ticket) up to a certain amount, depending where they are travelling from.

If you are proficient in English, a young volunteer or someone who works for an NGO, a legal representative of an NGO or just interested in organisational and project development and fundraising, this call is for you!

Interested candidates are invited to apply by sending their CV and motivation letter (max. 1 page A4) in English via e-mail to m.maska@youthpress.org with ‘Moving Ideas Forward’ in the subject line. You have until the 4th of September 2018, 23:59 CET.
