Rome Film Festival – Parallel awards - L.A.R.A.: Michele Riondino wins Best Performance

Michele Riondino, who co-stars with Elio Germano in Daniele Vicari’s The Past is a Foreign Land [trailer], is the revelation of the third edition of the Rome Film Festival. The 29-year-old actor won the L.A.R.A. Award for Best Performance from among the films competing in all of the festival sections.

A Special Mention went to the entire cast of We Can Do That trailer, directed by Giulio Manfredonia.

The other parallel prizes:

AGISCUOLA Golden Butterfly Award The prize for Best Film in the Official Selection, chosen by a jury of youths from throughout Italy, went to François Dupeyron’s With a Little Help From Myself [trailer] (France).

ENEL Cuore Award Eric Daniel Metzgar won the award for Best Social Documentary, chosen from those competing in the Extra section, for his ability to blend cinema and social issues in Life. Support. Music. (USA).

CULT Award A specialised jury picked Jana Sevcikova’s Gyumri (Czech Republic) as the Best Documentary from among the 12 that made their European premieres in the Extra section.
