Bring back the beaver
How can Britain deal with flooding without breaking the bank? Beavers, of course. The Mammal Society has proposed the reintroduction of the beaver as a potential panacea. The beaver's talent and enthusiasm for damming rivers is well known and could apparently provide a cost-effective remedy for river flooding.
