Is Europe in our hands ?

As 25 European member States confirmed they would have their Parliament ratify the Reformed treaty, voices rise in France – both among Lefters and Righters – to discuss the respect paid to the citizens’ opinion. The Jeunes Européens step into the debate and invite you on Wednesday October, 31st at the Maison des Initiatives Etudiantes.
The Young Europeans / Les Jeunes Européens
As part of a cycle of discussions dedicated to the birth of a European civil society and to its definition, the association Jeunes Européens launches its second Café-Débat this Wednesday October 31st.
Topic : Europe of the Governments, or Europe of the citizens? The viewpoint of militants.
The guests will gather young representants of the Social Party, the MoDem and the UMP.
Following a poll directed by the CSA, it seems that more than a half of the French people would prefer to have the Reformed treaty ratified through a popular referendum. Does this imply that they absolutely want to bloc, or is it a way to impulse a new European breath amongst citizens ? The question seems accurate as this same polls shows that two third of the people investigated stated that, should they be asked to vote, they would say Yes to the new Treaty.
