In conjunction with the masters programme of economic international relations at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, cafebabel.com warmly invites you to a debate open to public and with an open bar reception: Debating what?

From EU politics and institutions to emerging issues for Romanian youth Why?

You all know about something called the 'crisis'.

Has anyone been talking about Romania? What is the future for our youth today? How can they engage more actively and be listed to by politicians? Is the crisis real or do we simply talk about it? What is the role of journalists and media communicators in this context?

This EU crisis on the ground brings together cafebabel.com journalists and local audience. Journalists from the 4 corners of Europe are converging in one city to analyse, investigate, report and compare to give a real European perspective to hopes and fears of people in your city regarding EU impact in a wide sense (jobs, cost of life, immigration, culture...) regarding the current context of financial and economic crisis.

Local debates have an important role to play in this new setup, providing insights and debate onto hot topics of local interest that the journalists will exploit at a European level. Europe is not just Brussels. Europe is first of all its cities, its regions, its suburbs. Bucharest joins the European community of cities hosting such a debate open to a young and bright audience
