Call for Balkan Youth Intercultural Dialogue Conference 05-07 November 2008 Istanbul - TURKEY

The Turkish National Agency is organising the European Youth Week activities for the third year. This year, the themes are Intercultural Dialogue and European Youth Policies.

The activities will host interested young people and youth workers of youth-related NGOs from numerous Balkan countries, EU Countries and from Turkey, as well as, Turkish journalists, winners of the European Young Journalist Award, scientists, intellectuals, artists and press members. The number of participants is set to be around 120.

Those who would like to participate in the activities need to fill out the application form added below. The catering and accommodation expenses of all participants will be covered by the Turkish NA. Transportation expenses will also be covered, with a maximum of 300 Euros. In a programme prepared by the Turkish National Agency, activities for the European Youth Week in İstanbul will last for three days, beginning each day at 9 a.m. The first day?s activities will serve to welcome attendees. An inaugural meeting will be held with all participants and booths will be opened by the youth institutions. Later in that day, workshops will be held. On the second day panel discussions with high-level speakers are planned. The third day will be more ?entertaining?, with a trip around the city and a final boat tour planned on the Bosphorus River.
