We are pleased to announce that Babel International members have elected their new Board at the association's Extraordinary General Assembly last week end in Niza.
Composed of 4 Bureau members and 3 Steering Committee advisors, the new team aims to provide adequate representation our European network and the appropriate mix of skills to meet strategic goals of the association.
Our Extraordinary General Assembly followed 3 days of amazing learning & brainstorming sessions at our ShakeUp Europe 2014 Seminar. 40 local team leaders from the Cafebabel network and partner organizations (Youth4Media, Nisi Masa, European Youth Press, European Youth Parliament) had the chance to learn from each other and co-construct projects that will shape the future of European media.
Thank you again for making this a highlight of our network life. Let's keep this inspiring and energic community spirit alive !

On behalf of the whole network, I would like to warmly thank our previous president, Mana Livardjani, and the whole previous Steering Committee team, for their great work and commitment over the last 4 years. A huge thanks to outgoing members Roel Hoenders (Treasurer), Lucie Dupin (Babel Strasbourg) and Clara Farjardo (Babel Espana) who remain around as active babelians or friends of the Cafebabel network.
I am honoured to lead the efforts of the new Steering Committee team, whose top priority will be to support and monitor the implementation of our Strategic plan 2014-2017 that will be carried out by Alexandre Heully, our Executive director.
1) Remaining a leading and innovative actor in the European media environment
2) Increasing Cafebabel profile and visibility to a wider audience
3) Improving our offer to contributors, the network and community
4) Ensuring financial sustainability
5) Enhancing transparency and peformance
