The blogger Atanas Neychev and the Bulgarian performer Valentine Rain created a song whose aim is to fight the internet hate speech and cyber bullying – topics, that have gone completely out of control in the present-day world. The project they call “Fire+Fire” became a part of the Council of Europe campaign “No Hate Speech Movement” that supports over 40 countries worldwide. The young artists’ message is to protect the fire between us, the love for our beloved ones, as well as not to forget the little things that maintain the fire of love.
„My dream is to decrease the level of hate speech, as it damages innovation and blocks creativity“ says Atanas, who is the song’s lyricist and also the brains behind the video.
Atanas comes up with the idea after he takes part in a blogger training against internet hate speech. He starts working on the idea with Valentine, who sings the song and is also its music author. Soon afterwards, the creative team starts shooting the video to it in Sofia and London. Hiken Shtiken, a popular Bulgarian vlogger, takes part in the video, as well as the young actors Tedi Ruseva and Vasil Enev, and many more interesting personalities.
“All the love clichés will be fancily transformed via the screenplay Atanas did – the idea is to show that humanity evolves in its understanding for love.” Says Valentine Rain.
The official video to the song whose premiere took place on 7th July, contains stories that show different aspects of love – from friend love to that of people with different sexual orientation.
The song was heard by the CE in Strasbourg and was supported by their online communication manager. The artists were congratulated by the owner of the best digital distributor in Europe “Ditto Music” – Lee Parsons.
What’s more - recently, Valentine Rain was invited to an audition in one of the best London recording studios (where Depeche Mode, Bjork, Sex Pistols and many more have recorded), and among hundreds, he was the one who signed a contract with a top London management agency.
Currently, they are both working on Valentine Rain’s first album.
