A letter to Donald Trump, from a "nasty woman"
Published on
The people of the United States of America have elected as their next President a man who wants to build a wall on the Mexican border, ban Muslims from entering the country and has bragged openly about committing sexual assault. But if he's not careful, the pussy might just grab him back.
Dear Donald Trump,
You’ve done it. You’ve become the President-elect of the United States. When I woke up this morning in Berlin, where I live, your face was greeting me from every news website. The people of America have cast their vote in a democratic election, and they voted for you. You want to "make America great again." In your victory speech you said, "It is time for America to bind the wounds of division." You said, "I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans."
Mr. Trump, I find that hard to believe.
It is true, America is a divided country – but you have done everything to broaden the divide. There were the Mexicans you’d like to keep out of the USA by building a wall at the border, and the millions of immigrants you’d like to send back to "their" countries (especially if they’re Muslims and therefore, in all probability, terrorists).
There was the LGBTQ community who couldn’t count on support from you. On the contrary: you spent your campaign threatening to undo crucial protections for LGBTQ people in the US, promising to appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court to turn back the legalization of same-sex marriage. As for transgender people, we still don’t know if you’re in favor of them being able to use the bathroom matching their chosen gender or not.
Oh, and let’s not forget about women. For a man who claims to cherish women so much, your behavior is certainly dubious. You think of women as “gold-diggers” and said about your ex-wife Ivana: "I would never buy [her] any decent jewels or pictures. Why give her negotiable assets?" You repeatedly talked about your daughter Ivanka’s beauty – and how you’d like to fuck her. That was just a joke, of course. Or was it? You have called women "dogs", "ugly", "fat", and "bimbos." You admitted to grabbing women "by the pussy" and then talked your way out of it by saying it was all just “locker room talk.” You accused your opponent Hillary Clinton of not being able to "satisfy" America, because well, she obviously wasn’t able to “satisfy” her philandering husband Bill. Your wife Melania is a walking, talking Barbie doll, designed to smile and look great. Because that’s the only way you like women, isn’t it?
The sad thing is, a lot of women still voted for you. More than anticipated. Women who said in interviews that they like being groped and that they’d take it as a compliment. Women who admitted that no, they don’t like sexist remarks, but there are more important issues than that. Naturally lots and lots of older white men voted for you. Maybe because they, too, would like to grab some pussy and get away with it. They certainly want to keep America the way it best serves them – white, male, conservative.
Thanks to you and everyone who voted for you, Mr. President, young people growing up in America will now learn that you can be sexist, misogynist, racist, trans- and homophobic and still become a leader. Minorities will fear for their rights, knowing that a large part of the American population doesn’t give a damn about them. What we all learned last night, Americans or not, is that hate and fear trump love and hope. In the truest sense of the word.
Mr. Trump, I’m sure you’re not interested in hearing my opinion. After all, I’m not even a US citizen. I live in a country led by Angela Merkel – a woman you once compared to Hillary Clinton (and didn’t mean it as a compliment) and then called "the Greatest". Maybe I wouldn’t be attractive enough to warrant your attention.
Maybe you wouldn’t want to grab me by the pussy. But I’m a "nasty" woman. And you should know by now that pussy grabs back.
Yours sincerely,
Julia Korbik
