A tour guide says to a multi-national group after seeing the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum, "Children ask, 'Why did Europeans not love the Jews?' One answer is, Yeshua. They used to say, 'Jews killed the Messiah.' But he was not the Messiah, he was just a Jewish guy..." In this country English speakers of Jewish origin feel like apologizing when they instinctively exclaim 'Oh Jesus!
' :) Very interesting. The culture here is building up as an inversion of what it used to be in diaspora, not as some kind of counter-culture which would declare the old distinctions as void. But this is no discovery, of course.
