Brussels at its best @Plazey Festival

27th of June, 3rd & 4th of July

If you want to spend less cash, and experience a more local atmosphere, there's always the free Plazey Festival. With two stages in the Elisabeth park, this year's edition hosts singers such as Raymond van het Groenewoud, Beverly Jo Scott and Daan. But this festival not only offers great music, no, next to that, there will also be open air theatre, dance, visual shows and "culinary delights". Eager to go? Find out more here.

Fascinating Folklore @Ommegang

29 of June & 1st of July

Ready to travel to the past? At Ommegang, 1400 performers will take you back to Charles Quint's days. This festival promises to provide you with "breathtaking folklore, magic and animations." Fun fact: Johan Verminnen, the singer we introduced to you earlier this month, will be narrator in Dutch, Jo Lemaire in French and Roel Jacobs in English. Find out more about the festival here.

Summer of movies @Ecran Total

Ecran Total 30th of June - 14th of September

Movie Lovers in Brussels can rejoice once more. After the Brussels Film Festival, we present Ecran Total to you. Cinema Arenberg will amuse you all Summer long with movies such as Unmade beds (London Nights), Cold Souls and Crazy Heart. Find out more about their programme here.

Beach fun @Brussel Bad/Bruxelles les Bains

Brussel Bad 2nd of July - 22 of August

Yes, it is possible: a beach right in the centre of a capital city. But there is more than just some sand. Culture vultures, sports freaks and people who like to play games including water, will all be very happy to go to Brussel Bad/Bruxelles les Bains. Beware though, because you are not allowed to take a swim... Boat trips on the other hand, you are most welcome to take! More information.
