Despite sharing the same language, if a Brazilian asks for a “camisihna” in Portugal, he'll be handed a shirt and not a condom. Similar confusion arises if a French guy mentions the word “capote” (condom) to an English girl before heading to bed; she would think he was referring to the wonders of Truman Capote, the American writer of the Beat Generation.
